I’m a Portland, Oregon–based violin teacher and performer with a passion for both making and teaching music. I studied under Vasile Beluska at Bowling Green State University and later with Claude Sim and Alex Gonzales at the University of Colorado Boulder. I have also studied and performed with members of the Takács and Kronos Quartets.
As a performer, I’ve served as concertmaster of the CU Boulder Symphony, associate concertmaster of the Eklund Opera Orchestra, and principal second violin of the Brevard Festival Orchestra.
Over the past 13 years, I’ve performed across a range of genres—from classical and bluegrass to jazz and rock—and for the past five years, I’ve shared that experience through teaching, helping students of all ages and levels learn to make music of their own.
